As much as he is tired of the drama, she might be too. Fans expected the divorce sooner rather than later because they are already all over social media.
Sarper is going single after Shekinah initiated the divorce. He is ready to get back to his roots in Turkey after the couple finalizes their divorce. He shared how much heartache he started feeling after they moved to America for her dreams. The TLC star said he lost the old Shekinah in transit, since she showed him a completely different side of him he would never have fallen in love with.

After Sarper’s post, Shekinah posted her side of the story on Facebook. She gave a befitting reply to her husband, saying he has emotionally abandoned her and restricted her independence in Turkey. When the 90 Day Fiance stars were together, he ignored and humiliated her. Moreover, according to her, he even publicly demoralized her to make a joke of her.
Sarper revealed that the last time they saw each other was probably last year or early 2026. Even though the law says they are husband and wife, he calls himself single. He has reached his breaking point with her, and she has as well. Apparently, she described their marriage as “little more than a situationship.” Shekinah apologized to her fans and daughter Sofia, who believed that this relationship would work. Sarper also said he worked hard to make his marriage succesful from his side.

90 Day Fiance couple Shekinah and Sarper have been at odds since earlier this year, and now it has taken an expected turn. She has finally begun divorce proceedings by filing her petition. And it’s no surprise she’s asking for around $50k in cash. She has asked the court to order her husband to pay spousal support since he earns a lot as a stand-up comedian and reality star.
TMZ has obtained official divorce documents from the court stating Shekinah filed for divorce on Monday. In her filing, she cited incompatibility issues as the reason for the separation. She said they have been married since November 11, 2024, and separated on 22nd September 2026. This is the very day she told her fans that she and Sarper have split.
Additionally, Shekinah’s filing notes that they have no minor children to support. She is seeking only spousal support from him, in addition to an equal distribution of their property. They also have shared debts, so they need to sort those out before the divorce is finalized.
Sarper hasn’t responded to her divorce, except to promote his single-comedian comedy tour. When will they be granted a divorce? Will it happen, or is it just another beginning of drama?
