’90 Day Fiancé’: Police announce emergency arrest of Thais, Patrick’s ex-wife.
’90 Day Fiance’ Shocking Court Details: Thais Pulled Knife On Patrick

90 Day Fiancé: The Last Resort star Patrick Mendes claims his wife, Thais Mendes, was involved in an affair that came to light earlier this year, according to a new divorce filing.
“On or about April 11, 2026, Dad learned that Mom was involved in an affair,” a motion filed by Patrick’s attorneys on Wednesday states.
The court filing goes on to describe what allegedly happened after Patrick learned about the affair. According to the motion, Thais asked Patrick to leave their home because she had already told her new romantic partner that she and Patrick were separated.
“After Dad discovered the affair, Thais demanded that Patrick move out of the Parties’ home, as she had told her new romantic partner that the Parties were already separated and no longer residing together.”

Thais Allegedly Pulls Knife On Patrick in Court Papers
Starcasm reported Patrick allegedly did not immediately agree to leave. The filing claims, “Mom thereafter made threats to Dad – leading Dad to officially move out of the marital residence on or about May 6, 2026.”
Just over two weeks later, the estranged couple became involved in an altercation that led to Thais’ arrest for domestic battery.
“On May 22, 2026, the Parties got into an argument that led to Thais getting violent with Patrick,” the motion states. “During that incident, she grabbed a knife and threatened him with it, all while holding the child.”
Patrick then contacted law enforcement, according to the filing.
“Dad (Patrick) subsequently contacted law enforcement, and Mom(Thais) was arrested for domestic violence.”
The motion also states that the couple’s nanny witnessed the alleged incident.
As previously reported, the District Attorney ultimately declined to pursue the case against Thais, and the charge was dismissed.
Did Thais Break a Custody Agreement?
Patrick’s attorneys also claim the couple had reached an informal custody arrangement for their three-year-old daughter, Aleesi.
“Dad relied upon that agreement and attempted to co-parent with Mom pursuant to the Parties’ informal agreement. Mom subsequently reneged on the Parties’ agreement, leaving the Parties without a stable parenting schedule.”
Patrick’s attorneys revisit the issue later in the filing, stating that Patrick continued trying to establish a parenting arrangement even after their separation and Thais’ arrest.
According to the motion, Patrick and Thais were living together until their May 6 separation. Patrick allegedly continued attempting to reach an agreement over custody so they could avoid additional litigation.

The filing claims Patrick eventually reached what he believed was a custody resolution with Thais, but that she later backed out after hiring an attorney.
“Mom has reneged on the Parties’ agreement and has ceased any productive communication since retaining counsel.”
Patrick’s attorneys also maintain that he has never attempted to keep Aleesi away from her mother.
“Dad would never withhold the Child from Mom and has never done so in the past.”
They are asking the court to establish a formal custody schedule and warn Thais that any future attempt to withhold Aleesi could potentially be considered “Parental Abduction.”
Patrick Mendes Wants Joint Custody of Aleesi
Despite the allegations surrounding the marriage and Thais’ arrest, Patrick is asking the court for joint legal and physical custody of their daughter.
Patrick’s attorneys argue that the couple should be capable of successfully co-parenting once the court establishes a specific schedule.
Although the Parties are currently going through Divorce and Custody proceedings, Dad believes that once the Court weighs in and provides the Parties with set timeshare, that the Parties can absolutely cooperate adequately in order to meet the needs of the Child. Dad is dedicated to the Child and values his time with her. Dad has always worked with Mom to meet the Child’s needs. Dad will do whatever it takes to ensure that the Child is taken care of and has historically worked with Mom to ensure the Child’s needs are met. Accordingly, this factor supports Dad’s request for Joint Physical Custody.
“The Child is closely bonded to both Parents,” Patrick’s attorneys state. “There is no reason the Parties should not be able to maintain a strong relationship with the Child throughout her minority.”
Patrick is also asking the court to keep the current parenting schedule in place. Under that arrangement, Aleesi spends Wednesday through Sunday with Patrick and Sunday through Wednesday with Thais.
The allegations contained in Patrick’s divorce filing are claims made in court documents and have not been independently established by a court.
