Little People, Big World star Tori Roloff mourned a devastating family loss following the death of the family dog, Murphy—and fans showered them with prayers on social media.
On Sunday, Sept. 13, Zach Roloff‘s wife took to Instagram to share the sad update and a tribute featuring an emotional photo.
“Our Murphy left us today. 🤍,” the TLC alum revealed. “He was the best dog we could have ever asked for. He loved us better than we deserved. He fit into our family so perfectly and was the best camping dog in the game. Murphy was such a gentle giant and we were so blessed by his calm demeanor and his unwavering loyalty.”
Tori added, “It’s so hard that we get such a short amount of time with the animals that we love so much. I know that Murphy lived such a great life and I know he loved his family so much.”
To conclude her update, the mom of three shared, “I love you so much, Murphy, go find Sully! 🤍.”
The featured image showed Tori, Zach, and their three kids—Jackson, 9, Lilah, 6, and Josiah, 4—all putting their hands together on one of Murphy’s paws.

In the comments, Tori’s followers flooded herwith prayers and condolences. One Instagram user wrote, “This breed breaks hearts. But I loved my Berners and cherish all the memories. Keeping you in my prayers. 🙏🩷.”
Her mother-in-law, Amy Roloff, shared, “Aww… so sorry. I know how hard that was to let me go. He was a good ole dog, and he’ll be missed. 😔💙🐾..”

Meanwhile, yet another Instagram user commented, “Oh no, I’m so very sorry. Our fur babies are such a big part of our families. When they leave us, they take a part of our hearts with them. You are all in my prayers.🙏🏻.”
Zach and Tori previously starred in Little People, Big World alongside his parents, Amy and Matt Roloff, and his siblings. In 2024, the couple announced they would no longer appear on the show ahead of the Season 25 finale; no further seasons have aired since then.
